Here in Florida, we’re pretty proud of our rights, our liberties, and our ability to take our safety into our own hands. 🇺🇸
This USCCA course is designed specifically to help women become comfortable, competent, and confident with concealed carrying. Whether you’ve never fired a gun before or it’s been a while since you’ve hit the range, you’ll learn in a supportive, hands-on environment led by a female firearms instructor who will meet you where you are.

Never owned or handled a firearm? No problem! We’ll provide a firearm for you to use, along with eye and ear protection for the live-fire portion of the class. You’ll just need to purchase or bring your own ammunition.

No experience necessary. And no men allowed. And yes, our sisters in Alabama are welcome as well!
Just come ready to learn, practice, ask questions, and build real-world skills in a welcoming environment. 
You’ll leave with a better understanding of safe firearm-handling and concealed carry—and, most importantly, more confidence in your ability to make smart, responsible decisions when it comes to your personal safety.

Meet the Instructor

KATY HICKS

Katy is an experienced NRA & USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor who focuses on helping women feel confident, capable, and prepared to protect themselves. As the USCCA representative for the Florida Panhandle, Katy brings a well-rounded perspective to her instruction—covering not only practical and tactical skills, but also the important legal considerations that come with being responsibly armed. Her knowledge and experience make her a trusted resource for our team. Katy’s goal is to empower women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to conceal carry.


COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Bring your own handgun to class preferably. If you do not own a handgun, we will provide you with one for the duration of the class. To avoid minor burns from extracted hot brass casings, please wear button up or t-shirts that  have high-cut neck line on the range. We advise you to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
This course is for 18 years old and older.

Please make sure you sign the waiver before class.
We have partnered with the United States Concealed Carry Association as a training resource for mental, physical, and legal aspects of self-defense. Joining their association will prepare you before, during, and after a self-defense incident. We highly encourage you to join.
